In Asia, one of the more popular destinations is South Korea, home to increasingly popular K-pop and K-drama genres.

For South Korea, it has 4 seasons that vary greatly from each other, delightful spring (April to June), a muggy and wet summer (July to August), a refreshing autumn (September to November) and a freezing cold, snowy but dry winter (December to March).

1. Spring

Spring starts at the end of March to beginning of May.

Spring is widely considered to be the best season to visit South Korea. Purple cherry blossoms or azaleas start to grow and bloom very beautifully bathing the city with delightful hues of pink.

Average daily temperatures are pleasant 15-18°C. In early spring, the weather is still cold and the sun that shines brightly only seem to illuminate but not warm the Earth.

The weather is less likely to be inclement and, as a result, many festivals and events can be found taking place such as Yeoido Cherry Blossom Festival and Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival.

2. Summer

Summer begins on June and ends on August where it reaches its peak. Visiting Korea in summer is best for you who want to participate in festivals as Korea has a lot of those in summer, especially water based festivals such as the Sincheon Wakeup City Fiesta Festival.
However, it is less recommended for you who only want to go sightseeing or travel with children as it normally rains all day long in July and most tourist spots are normally full because many Koreans take a break from work at summer.

3. Autumn

Autumn in Korea starts in September and ends in November. Autumn in Korea is really pretty, with leaves falling from trees creating a really beautiful leaf rain. The leaves of maple and gingko trees have changed to yellow, red, or brown, making a rather romantic atmosphere.

The weather has begun to cool, although you can still feel the heat in September.

Unfortunately, this view only lasts three weeks. If you want to see the leaves turn colorful, you should visit at the end of October or early November.
4. Winter

Winter in compared to its neighbor, Japan. Winter usually starts in December to February, with the coldest temperature of -20 degrees celcius. Furthermore, even in warmer areas where its -5 to -10 degrees can feel like it is -20 degrees cold due to the strong winds.
You are not advised to visit Korea at winter, especially with a baby, because the cold is extreme. You can instead come on December to January to enjoy heavy snow falls when the weather is more friendly.
